Hogaan Microfinance participated in the stakeholders’ consultation meeting for the 2026–2030 Strategic Plan of the Somali Agricultural Regulatory and Inspection Service (SARIS), held in Baidoa. The consultation brought together key stakeholders from government institutions, development partners, and private sector organizations to contribute insights toward strengthening Somalia’s agricultural regulatory and inspection framework.
The meeting focused on enhancing institutional collaboration, improving quality assurance and inspection systems for agricultural production, and developing a comprehensive and sustainable strategy that directly supports farmers and agribusinesses across the agricultural value chain.
Hogaan Microfinance highlighted the importance of accessible and inclusive financial services in enabling farmers and agricultural enterprises to increase productivity and expand their operations. Strengthening the regulatory and inspection environment is expected to improve product quality, support market access, and build confidence across the agricultural sector.
