Hogaan Microfinance Concludes Program on Empowering Women and Youth through Trade and Entrepreneurship in Baidoa

Hogaan Microfinance participated in the closing event of a program aimed at empowering women and youth through trade and entrepreneurship in Baidoa under the E-WYTE Project. The initiative was implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the South West State and GIZ Somalia, with the goal of strengthening entrepreneurial skills and supporting inclusive economic opportunities.

The program benefited 100 women and youth, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnees. Over the course of one year, participants received hands-on training designed to build practical business and entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to start or expand small businesses and improve their livelihoods.

During the closing ceremony, Hogaan Microfinance engaged with the program graduates by sharing information about available financing opportunities and providing guidance on how entrepreneurs can access financial services to support the growth of their businesses.

This engagement reflects Hogaan Microfinance’s continued commitment to supporting entrepreneurship, empowering communities, and promoting inclusive economic development. By facilitating access to finance and supporting small businesses, the institution aims to contribute to innovation, job creation, and sustainable economic growth.

Hogaan Microfinance remains dedicated to collaborating with government institutions, development partners, and local communities to expand opportunities for entrepreneurs and strengthen the economic resilience of communities across Somalia.
